Board of Governors Member (Volunteer)

About the role

The Network of Advocacy for Youth Empowerment (NAYE‑Salone) is seeking a dedicated volunteer to join its Board of Governors. This position will help shape the strategic direction of a youth‑focused non‑profit operating across Sierra Leone.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in board meetings and contribute to high‑level decision‑making.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the organization’s mission and goals are achieved.
• Assist with resource mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development.
• Oversee compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Represent NAYE‑Salone at community events, conferences, and public forums.

Required profile

• Strong governance and leadership abilities.
• Interest or experience in youth empowerment, education, health advocacy, or community development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Background in non‑profit management, legal compliance, or resource mobilization is advantageous.
• Passion for advocating children’s and youth’s rights.
