About the role
Partners In Health is seeking a Biomedical Technician to support the Quality Essential Health Services and Systems Support Project in Kailahun District, Sierra Leone. The role involves installing, testing, calibrating and repairing biomedical equipment across health facilities, and training local staff on proper use.
Key responsibilities
- Install, test, calibrate and repair a range of biomedical devices in health centers and hospitals.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Travel frequently to Jojoima town and other locations within Kailahun District to provide on‑site support.
- Train health‑care users on equipment operation, safety procedures, and basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status, service reports, and inventory.
Required profile
- Sierra Leone resident with ability to travel throughout Kailahun District.
- Technical background in biomedical or related engineering fields.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Biomedical Engineer/District Clinical Lead.
