Driver – 9 month contract

About the role

Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking a professional driver for a 9‑month fixed‑term contract in Kono, Sierra Leone. The driver will provide safe, reliable transportation for staff, visitors and goods while maintaining vehicle readiness and complying with all PIH policies.

Key responsibilities

• Transport staff, visitors and cargo to designated locations, adhering to traffic laws and PIH procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicles are clean and operational.
• Assist with logistics such as airport pickups, deliveries, and official errands.
• Maintain accurate documentation including mileage logs, fuel usage and trip records.
• Support emergency transport requests and respond promptly to urgent needs.
• Secure vehicle assets, report incidents and follow all safety and security protocols.

Required profile

• WASSCE (or equivalent) and a valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years of professional driving experience, preferably in an NGO or healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of Sierra Leone traffic regulations and road safety practices.
• Commitment to PIH’s mission, values and safety standards.
