About the role
CHAI is seeking a motivated epidemiologist with public‑health experience to join its global team. The role focuses on analyzing disease data, monitoring program impact, and translating findings for decision‑makers across Francophone West and Central Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological analyses to assess malaria and neglected tropical disease (NTD) trends.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing disease‑reduction initiatives.
- Prepare clear, actionable reports and visualisations for regional and country teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple African countries.
- Support data‑driven decision‑making for program design and scale‑up.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in epidemiology, public health, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in infectious‑disease research, preferably malaria or NTDs.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, geographically dispersed team.
Required skills
- Proficiency in epidemiological methods and statistical analysis.
- Experience with data management and visualization tools.
