Head Of Maintenance – Civil (Masonry, Plumbing, Carpentry & Painting)

About the role

The Head of Maintenance – Civil leads the upkeep of all civil infrastructure at Koidu Government Hospital and the new Maternal Centre of Excellence. Reporting to the Hospital Facility Manager, the role ensures that buildings, plumbing, sanitary installations, furniture and cabinetry remain safe and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain structural integrity of hospital and maternal centre buildings.
• Supervise renovation, rehabilitation and light construction projects, including masonry, carpentry and painting works.
• Oversee the hospital’s plumbing network and sanitary ware maintenance.
• Manage the upkeep of furniture, cabinetry and related civil assets.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across other Partners in Health Sierra Leone sites when required.
• Provide line‑management to maintenance staff and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil maintenance and building works, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to lead and supervise a maintenance team.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kono District, Sierra Leone.
• Open to applicants without Government PIN codes.
