Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest experience across the property. This role leads the housekeeping team, drives operational excellence, and supports the overall brand promise of "Every Moment Matters".

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and laundry meet brand standards.
• Develop and implement performance metrics, reporting tools and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Manage the full team life‑cycle – recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management and career development.
• Prepare and control the departmental budget, inventory, linen and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering and other departments to resolve guest enquiries and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, chemical and environmental legislation and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience, including 2‑3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in an upscale hotel.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets and maintain high service standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of guest‑room and public‑area cleaning procedures.
• Understanding of hygiene standards and chemical safety protocols.
