Head of Procurement

About the role

The Head of Procurement will lead the end‑to‑end procurement function for Tshimenga Business Solutions, driving strategy, cost optimisation and supplier performance across a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies, including category management and sourcing initiatives.
• Oversee purchasing activities, supplier selection, contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, ensure policy compliance and manage risk.
• Mentor and develop a distributed procurement team, driving continuous process improvement.
• Leverage data and analytics to support strategic decisions and track total cost of ownership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing full procurement and purchasing cycles.
• Strong background in supplier management, evaluation and relationship development.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, commercial terms and risk mitigation.
• Experience designing category management plans and delivering cost‑saving initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field; professional certification (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
